Welcome to Herbal Medicine. My name is Dan Wheals. Since 2007, I have treated people with plant based herbal medicines. Please read about what I do and contact me for a free chat to discuss if seeing a herbalist is right for you. We'll take it from there.  

Please note that herbal medicine can be a medium term therapy, talk to me about what you can afford as it is important that you have medicines for at least 3 months in most cases. I generally reduce consultations after a while so you just have medicines to pay for with occasional check ins.  

I live on the Essex/ Suffolk Boarder but we can discuss use of digital communication after a face to face initial consultation.

Permaculture & Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine fits in with my ethics and principles of permaculture. I coined the term Herbaculture mixing both words. Making a social business out of herbal lore, taking herbs and herbalism to events, workshops and design projects. The image was our herb bus and awning set up at Latitude 2019, which we can hire for events.  This closed during COVID and relocation in Australia. But it was amazing and could be reinvented int he future. 

Education & Herbal Medicine

With trained teachers, experienced herbalists and horticulturalists we can tailor to your learning needs. KS1-4 and beyond.  Individual tutorage and herb growing apprentices welcomed too. Projects have included community gardening, school garden workshops and design, Workshops with another fabulous local social enterprise in a prison and camps for teenagers learning to cook their produce.
